The Church Council today approved the return to regular in-person worship starting on Easter Sunday 4/4/2021 and the following Sundays in April. Â Services will still be held under our COVID-19 Covenant and expectations for the congregation. Â Face masks and social distancing are a key part of continuing to keep COVID-19 at bay. Â Anyone uncomfortable returning or following the Covenant may still participate with our simulcast/concurrent livestream. Â
A drive-through communion will be held at HCLC on March 28th, Palm Sunday. Â Please plan to swing by the church this morning to share in communion and receive a palm for your home or vehicle. Â
During our remote worship time the past few months, Holy Communion has been awaiting the install of a new heating and air system. Â That work was completed the second week of March, and we look forward to comfortable temperatures for years to come. Â A special thanks to Keith Bird for coordinating the install of the new unit!
Both the state of South Carolina and North Carolina are moving quickly to get our communities vaccinated. Â Please review the respective health department information at:
South Carolina: https://scdhec.gov/health/vaccinations
North Carolina: https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/vaccines
For the safety of our vulnerable congregation members and the Holy Communion Lutheran Church Staff, the Church Council urges all members and visitors to take advantage of vaccinations.
As a celebration of Shrove "Fat" Tuesday, HCLC members delivered a dozen donuts to our congregation households. Â Thanks to all who organized and delivered this surprise treat!
Out of concern for the spread of COVID-19 within our own church community, the Executive team and Pastor Kinsey have decided to suspend the "hybrid" face-to-face  worship services that were alternating each week.  Please check out the Calendar for updates was we re-evaluate in the coming weeks.  Also check our Virtual & Hybrid Worship tab for video links to worship from home.
Holy Communion will hold a Christmas Eve service with a capacity limit. Â The congregation and any guests of our members will be asked to honor the covenant for safe worship.
Service will be at 6:00PM.
