We will decorate our trunks and share our spooky treats as an outreach to the children of Woodland Heights in coordination with St. James United Methodist. Through a Thrivent Grant, we will also give away hotdogs. Join us as we reach into the community around us.

October was a productive month for us, We had a very successful Craft Fair, a huge crowd fed with hot dogs and candy for Trunk or Treat, and a Spartanburg Women's Gathering between the four Lutheran Churches in the area. We collect item for The Spartanburg Period Project and Project REST.Â
Sunday, October 23, 2:30 pm, at Joy Lutheran Church, we will be joining other women from the ELCA Lutheran Churches in Spartanburg. Our Gathering will emphasize our connectedness with each other and our community. It will last about and hour with fellowship and fun. We are highlighting two groups that help women in our community - Project R.E.S.T. and The Spartanburg Period Project. We are collecting women's underwear, bras, and period supplies.Â
This is the second annual gathering of this group which started at our church last year.
