Backpack Buddies

Our Backpack Ministry provides food to students at nearby Woodland Heights Elementary School who have been vetted as "food insecure" by school counselors. The church works in concert with school officials to provide ready to eat food items that children may eat during their time away from school. Each bag contains eight easy to prepare items including fruit, grains, protein, and juice.

Seeking Donations

To support this ongoing need, please consider donating any of the following items.  In each backpack, we try to provide:

  • Drinks - Apple Juice Boxes, Capri Sun Drinks, Hot Chocolate Packets, Cartons of milk (Horizon, Fairlife)
  • Breakfast - Small Cereal Boxes, Oatmeal Packets, Grits, Pop Tarts
  • Fruit - Fruit Cups, Applesauce Cups
  • Proteins - Vienna Sausages, Chili, Chef Boyardeee Cans
  • Snacks - Crackers (not peanut butter), Cheez-its, Nutra Grain Bars, Chips
  • Dessert - Snack Pack Pudding, Cookie Snack Packs
  • Hot Items - Instant Noodles Cups,  Mac n Cheese Cups, Soups
